On the surface, it seems like the ideas of “accepting yourself” and “reinventing yourself” are at odds. After all, if you love yourself unconditionally, why would you want to change yourself? In my opinion, it’s not that simple.
Reinventing yourself doesn’t mean bending to society’s expectations. It means finding what you love about yourself and doing more of that. In other words, we don’t have to give up on being better just because we love ourselves. Quite the opposite! We should want to be better because we love ourselves.
